Thanks earshot... I followed the links and used the workaround and now
my Compaq/HP netbook will actually shutdown/reboot - plus it now
connects with wpa2 at 54mbps... still won't connect with "n" but this is
much better than the 1-2Mbps it was getting while showing 100% signal
strength!

The latest development build appears to be the same as the release, 10-08.
The latest upstream kernel will have the same problem because the kernel is
built with CONFIG_SCSI_IPR disabled.

python-libmimic. After that emesene works fine.
For the first one i use Synaptic for install it. The second did it manually

hello again, I tried to use the network method (8.04->8.10->9.04->9.10) but
it got messy when i jumped from 8.10 to 9.04, so i formated my HD and i
installed 9.10 stable version and it seems to work as... "acceptable" as

This bug is a lost cause.
This package only exists in Hardy and has been dropped from later releases. All
original maintainers have orphaned it. Hardy is only getting critical and
security bug fixes, so this will not get fixed.
