I've seen the same situation in Jaunty (both i386 and amd64). It makes
Ekiga completely unusable (I switched back to 8.10).

When updating Jaunty using the update manager, I get the following
errors:

Package python2.6 is trying to overwrite g
I got the same error when trying to remove it. If y add "--force-
overwrite", dpkg complains saying:
dpkg: error processing python-gobject-dbg (--remove):
Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should
reinstall it before attempting a removal.
I don't know what to do.
