The short and long of it seems evident in this error message I get:

make inconsistent assumptions over interface Pcre
(The package might actually be ocamlnet-dev, BTW)

I probably have the same error. Tried creating a new profile with the
method suggested above, but that did not help.
Chrome had similar issues on my system, but after I deactivated "DND
prefetching" it worked. Maybe that is a lead.

It is indeed a pain. I'd like to see this get fixed eventually. Even the
upstream patch that's around somewhere that allows you to simply
manually specifiy a bridge would be pretty good.
It's not *impossible* to use libvirt/KVM in these conditions,

Bas, I understand something broke in SFCGAL 1.3.0. However,
postgresql-9.5-postgis-2.2 draws libsfgal 1.2.2. So why do we need 500MB
of dependencies to work around a broken viewer removal that only
happened in a later version of SFCGAL?

wallpaper reload spanning screens
To manage notifications about t
tail -f works because it checks the file every sleep-interval seconds (defaults
to 1 second).
tail -f -s 10 /var/log/syslog gives a burst of new lines every 10 seconds.
With this test I see 10-seconds bursts with linux 4.10.0 and 4.13.0
indicating this bug isn't fixed.
