Public bug reported:
I'm not sure where to put this one as it affects a range of packages.
Basically I am running the latest dist-upgrade of Feisty on a Dell
Inspiron 6400 with both wireless and ethernet connectivity.
My ethernet is detected as eth0 and my wireless (ipw3945) is detected as
eth1.
A followup.
A quick shutdown of network manager reveals that it is a problem with
NM. When its down the apps connect without a problem, when its up, they
cannot connect unless eth0 is plugged in.

Hmm, with the fact that NM is now included by default in Feisty and the
noted issues with other Gnome Software, could this bug be moved away
from wishlist and be an actual bug?

I am still having to manually kill NetworkManager and rerun
