I used the drivers for the printer from the repo, I did use the bscan2
file from Brother for the scanner, however they did update their pages
for 9.10/10.04. all brother scanners use the same device ID here are
their instructions:
Ubuntu 9.10, 10.04
1. Open "/lib/udev/rules.d/40-libsane.rules"
sorry, I meant Vendor string not device ID.. Alswo worked like a charm,
the only thing is I can't get the scan-key thing to work but that rely
doesn't matter, I'm just glad I can scan..

This also effects me with the BCD2000 on Ubuntu 10.04.1 32bit LTS.. I
can't run 10.10 withoutmy system sometimes locking up on boot but that's
another problem as it's intermitent (somtimes it boots fine other times
it don't)..

Sorry it took so long as I needed the Laptop working for my job so I had
to reinstall 10.04 temporarily. They have since went to using MAC only

yes, but in previous releases, the Nvidia driver package would add an
xorg.conf to load the driver. X has never auto detected the proprietary

This was a fresh install of 10.10, I never installed the binary package
this time around, just used your PPA, that is why I asked here. I
searched around the net till I found the xorg.conf that gets installed
by default with jockeys 96.43.17 on 10.04 and copied it to my own file.

I'm using the latest version of Mixxx in the repo's for ubuntu 10.10 and
the shade skins display with the wrong colours in play lists, I fixed it
by over writing them with the ones downloaded from the Mixxx forums,You
may need to check and repack all the skins..
