Same problem here. I suspect the fglrx module has not been caught up
with the kernel release yet. May have wait a few days :(

Still fails. It is still installing an old version of fgrlx (7.1.0) and
Xorg is 7.1.1.

after upgrading to edgy from dapper via repos, i reinstalled the fglrx
driver, kernel, xserver, and all. fglrxinfo command returns the mesa
display and no direct rendering. these did work fine in dapper.
