Kubuntu package is broken. I
rebuilt kdesdk-kde4 including my patch and then installed the
kapptemplate-kde4 package which then worked correctly

The kubuntu-kde4-desktop package in the hardy backport of kde 4.1 still
pulls in packages from kdepim 3.5.9. As kdepim is back in 4.1, it
should use those instead.

template" step because the actual templates are not installed into the
package. The attached patch fixes the problem.
