It is not signed so is listed as tainted and trace points are disabled.
As explained in the above article this is because the TAINT_FORCED MODULE flag

Just upgraded to quantal beta 1
Unity never loads from lightdm, screen just flashes at random intervals.
Was able to load gnome-shell from gdm but it is pretty much unusable due to
visual artifacts.
MATE loads fine.

Was having this problem.
Deleting /usr/local/texlive (which I don't ever remember installing) solved the
problem instantly

Worth noting that an independant installation of textlive2011 exists in
usr/local
