Thanks in advance.

No luck, it does not work.
As in my description, I already tried all the workarounds from the
forums and even recompiled Alsa.
I think I am not alone in that situation... I believe that it is related
to the latest kernel...

Hi,
I confirm you that it has been working under Edgy, and even under Breezy.
My bios is up-to-date though there has not been any bios update on my laptop,
as far as I now.
The kernel I use is 2.6.20-15-386.

I also followed the procedure [2]. Here is the dmesg output.
I also tried to compile and use the latest sony_acpi module and don't
have a better luck.
What is weired is that suspend-to-ram is working perfectly well. I only
have this issue with suspend-to-disk, which I use quite often.
Thank you

The problem is not new with Intel cards. It has been like this since Breezy.
Just look at the forums.

This new update broke something for me.
I have an i915 GM graphic card and for the first time I can't get Gnome
working. The screen is clipping and appear to freeze Gnome or make it
unusable...
My xsession-errors shows :
/usr/bin/compiz: ... Segmentation fault (core dumpled) /usr/bin/compiz.real
After more investigation, I found out that what it causing this clipping
problem is the compiz-extra package.
