Binary package hint: adept
If the /etc/apt/sources.list.d directory not created or removed the update will
fail without any warning.
Please check the existence of the dir in sourceslist.py after:

I tried with the kde356 upgrader. The distupgrader died after the third step of
process (modifying the software channels).
