Every once in a while(can be 5 minutes or 5 hours) a window just crashes.
I can see that the error is:
"X connection to :0.0 host broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)"
I can't find any other message in the system logs. This only happens for
applications with an opened w
I can confirm this too. This is very annoying.
The only workaround for me is to not use compiz. I tried the MToolkit fix which
fixes the visual bugs but i start getting keyboard lockups on my java
applications.
I'm running Gutsy with java 1.6.0_03.

When i open a folder by double clicking on it the path that dolphin
tries to open is the exact path of the clicked folder appended with an
"e".
Then obviously dolphin shows the path not found error.

I changed the default fonts and everything seemed to be working fine.
Then i created a "link to application" in the desktop and configured it
to be run by the root user. What happens is that the launched
application (in this case it was kate) doesn'

So the difference is if i do "sudo" or "kdesudo".
With "sudo" the fonts are fine, with "kdesudo" the fonts revert to the
original configuration.
