Yes, it still slows & dims the screen ...I'm guessing when it's "working" or
trying to "locate" files. Maybe the "search engine" itself is to blame? I do
have a lot of data, that I search through
plus a few external hard drive units, as well. Any help/suggestions
would be appreciated. -
I get this bug too in Ubuntu 24.04, and freezes the browser after switch
any browser video to fullscreen, either Youtube, or other video sites.
I have the standard Ubuntu which uses gnome-shell, but the bug happens
with budgie-wm as reported here.

It's on ONE app. I can start it in the primary window and move it to
external monitor.
One important thing to highlight though, sometimes the Files app starts
perfectly without this error, i.e, without this freezing the external
monitor thingy.

After upgrade to 24.10, the system hangs on lock screen upon wake up
from hibernation. This happens with and without external monitor
attached. It doesn't respond to any keystroke at all. Not even the
CTRL+ALT+DELETE WTF is this rubbish!?!
