I must say, it is not fixed. I'm using karmik and with the Test provided by
"cbrmichi" i have encountered the (Codificación No Valida) message. This has
happend to me as well with certain (private) files of my own.
It's odd, since I have never had to do any worarrounds for this matter with
Jaunt
Have the same problem with some icons like the JDownloader and Amarok
(1.41). But worst is with the network manager, that doesn't work in the
notification area, it's just a grey square. I'm using Karmic.

I'm sorry I wouldn't like to change the Status on this Bug since nobody has
replied my post.
Is anybody else having this problem? I've tested on two machines with different
Iso Images and the result is the same with 9.10. I cannot decompress nor open
files with characters like "º" or "ü".

Hi, I have a Baytrail-based Compal ZAW70 (sold under the brand "Kelyx"
in Argentina) which was affected by this bug. I installed using ukuu
both 4.14.9 and 4.14.10 kernels without resolving the issue, the UEFI
settings remain read only.
Just loading the updated SPI driver resolves the issue or the
