It works now.
I installed the backports-modules like I did with intrepid and it didn't work,
but after disabling the driver from (Administration->Hardware Drivers), It
works now.

I have this bug too as I ran out of space, so I tried removing some packages
but I can't.
Shouldn't the package manager remove packages firstly , then do other
operations?

This probably will need the same fix of bug #314966 that you referred to.
But this one isn't in gnome-volume-control , it affects the applet itself, the

I have updated the synaptics driver (with some other updates) and restarted X ,
but the problem remained.
However, the next reboot, the bug doesn't affect me anymore.
For a couple of days now, I've not encountered this bug.

I have this problem on a freshly installed Jaunty (2.6.28), I don't have it on
an updated Intrepid (2.6.27) on the same machine.
on Jaunty, Bluetooth is alway on on startup, which isn't the behavior on
Intrepid.
It should remember the last configuration before shutdown/restart.

I've the same bug after updating firefox (and xulrunner) to 3.0.8, and prism
won't start now.
running prism in terminal shows more info:

I'm using hardy (with all updates till my post) and my problem is very similar
to the ones mentioned,
the top unexpanded panel now always goes to the bottom when I re-login.
Everytime I login I must
1- Right click on the panel and check "Expand"
2- Change Orientation to "Top"
3- Uncheck "Expand"

Deleted an NTFS partition and reformatted to ext3.
after rebooting GRUB fails with "Error 15: File Not Found" error.
reinstalled GRUB and then the list shows but Ubuntu wouldn't boot.
Then I figured out that what was my hd(0,6) is now hd(0,5
I used 'Disk Management' from Windows XP to delete the partition.
then GParted within Ubuntu to create the ext3 partition

I think I can't obtain a backtrace right now with the instructions in the page
you supplied
because the pidgin-dbgsym package is version 1:2.2.1-1ubuntu4
and I have pidgin 1:2.3.1-2ubuntu1
so there's a dependency conflict
