So the main point is that hovering on the "greyed-out" ubuntu logo that

So the problem is that when your on the 4th desktop, the workspace

No Sticky Notes with Unity
Hit the key (aka windows key), the menu pops up. That's the best

Dash Calculator i.e. =1+2
Can't reproduce this one here, are there any "strange" things in you
menu's, custom items, changed thing? Is there anything special about
your user setup / groups? Marking as incomplete as more info will be
needed to debug / fix

Colin, I'd say your right in that something went wrong in the keymap
setting during upgrade. Could you run "dkpg-reconfigure -console-data"
(asks user about keyboard layout) and report back if that fixed the
issue? (after suspending your own fix of course.)

Could you state the problem more clearly please, I'm finding it hard to
understand exactly what it is that's going wrong. What do you mean with
"window buttons"? And what do you expect after the mouse events?
