Not sure if this is still an issue, but it works with
./configure --with-mumps-incdir=/usr/include --with-mumps-lib=-ldmumps
'--with-mumps-lib' expects actual linking flags.

I just did a clean install of raring and also observed that the empathy
GUI does not come up. This seems to be connected with the option '-h',
which is how I put it into the autostart list. Without '-h' it opens as
expected but, of course, also when you log in - which I would like to
avoid.

I get the same problem since I installed the latest 64bit version (not
powerpc; x86_64 generic kernel) of raring. I consistently need up to 10
boot attempts until it finally decides to boot normally.
