this is from Kubuntu Gutsy Tribe 3 (from-scratch) installation:
Alt Gr is still mapped to the Win key. On a swiss german keyboard this
is needed to type the @ sign.
to fix:
- after installation edit xorg.conf like so:
Section "InputDevice"
Optione "XkbOption
nearly forgot, this Kubuntu

After a new installation of Edgy Eft I had to comment out the following
line in xorg.conf. Not easy because this Option makes the right Alt key
(which on the swiss/german keyboard is named Alt Gr) pop up the K Menu

I had some success with the following:
