The Firefox process hangs after you close it keeping the lock on the
audio device, so instead of restarting Ubuntu you can go to System ->
Administration -> System Monitor and kill the hanging Firefox process.
Perhaps in about 10 years time from now Ubuntu/Linux will have caught up
with what can b
I don't mean to rush anyone, but about how long does it take before
