I'm trying to use my Sansa e250 player in Lucid alpha 3. It currently
detects the player correctly (where in Karmic it would print an error),
but it only displays a small number of songs (about 20) from the player
in rhythmbox, and it doesn't play any of the songs, or upload songs to
the player.

I can also confirm this that on Ubuntu Karmic AMD64, with nvidia
drivers, Xorg uses a lot of memory (about 1.5GB).

virtual memory (120-140MB resident), which is much better than the 1.5GB

The button well thing is mostly fixed in the latest version in the
branch (0.1.5.9). There is a small bug with unfocused windows. The
background of the left button on the right side is chosen to be

In lucid, running kernel 2.6.32-16-generic (on Asus Eee 1005HA) I don't
get this bug anymore. However, as Ron Bentley described, I too can't run
compiz when the external screen is set side-by-side. If compiz is
running before I plug in the external monitor, it closes, and starts
metacity as a fallb
One more thing: when I wrote that the module doesn't work for me, I
meant without the workaround. Setting acpi_osi=Linux in the command line
works for me too.

I can switch back to my session, and I can't find any related crash in
syslog or dmesg. (There are a few crashes in dmesg, but they are all
related to specific applications, such as totem, yelp and npviewer.bin,
and I've already reported them.
My current display is :5.0, so I'll attach Xorg.5.log
ctk_actor_set_default_direction does change clutk's behaviour. I think it is
responsible for changing the layout of buttons and other widgets.
Anyway, I changed the gtk call to that because I noticed
ctk_actor_set_default_direction was used in main, so I thought the code would
be more consistent
Well, ctk_actor_set_default_direction is global, and not defined for a single
clutk actor.
Still, I did find a solution in the function you mentioned: I changed the
padding defined there for scroll view objects, and I think the sidebar is now
positioned correctly.

switch layouts (set using gnome-tweak-tool). With the English layout:

3.8.6.1-0ubuntu11.1. I tested with Caps Lock as the shortcut key, but
