Yep, that's what I've been getting too. I've been waiting on this
particular issue for about a year and a half now, so I'm really not sure

We can now successfully hibernate, but the sky2-based ethernet device
doesn't function after the machine resumes. I get this error when trying
to bring the device back up:

I can't get wireless working with any options now. However, sometimes it
takes me modprobe -r'ing ipw2200 and re-adding it to get the TX_POWER
errors, other times it does it by itself. I'm not sure what's going on.
I'm using gnome-network-manager for interface handling.

It looks like there may be a fix for this in the latest version of
ipw2200 at http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/. Gutsy is currently running
1.2.0, perhaps we could look into backporting 1.2.2, which fixes two of
the issues crippling the Tecras and a number of other laptops.

It seems like the issue here is that nvidia-settings isn't using the new
Gnome privileges escalation system (I can't remember what it was
called). It should at a minimal be called with gksu (which would prompt
for a password), and at best use the privilege escalation system.
