in Gnome. The second file uploaded crashes here soon after it is being

I have the "udev_work[XXX] open /dev/null failed: no such file or

I have tried with an 8GB usb which 'Disk Utility' reports as:
Partition Type: W95 FAT32 (0x0b)
Partition Flags: Bootable
Type: FAT (32-bit version)
and also a 2GB usb which was formatted FAT16 by Win XP
Both result in an unbootable usb.
In the case of the 2G FAT16

I first discovered this bug when using sub-tags that had no icon, but it
also fails if a top-level (parent) tag has no icon assigned to it.
1. Create a new tag as a sub tag of an existing tag, give the tag a name, but
