I get a similar problem. I have a backup drive labelled BACKUP that gets
auto-mounted to /media/BACKUP. Sometimes the drive powers down for some
reason or loses connection with my box but then quickly remounts. It

It was just automatically marked Invalid because the kernel bug at
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13461 was. As you can see
there, a kernel developer has stated that it's a hardware limitation.
There's nothing we can do to fix it.
