received the player and the first cold boot with the player attached
showed it as a disk icon. But since then I haven't been able to

I just upgraded my Intrepid partition and 2.6.27 was installed. I've

I've long thought my Ralink RT61 didn't work properly with WPA. Without
security it worked fine. But yesterday I tried a different WPA key for a
change (I use keys which I can reproduce in a language with many special
charackters (á, û, etc.). And suddenly the thing connected.
I'm using an up to date Gutsy, NetworkManager and since I the special
characters don't type well in password-dialogs, I copy-paste them from
OOo. I can check the password with the 'show characters' box in Ubuntu,
but I can't check how the password copy-pastes in my router through the
webbrowser. Ma

Beta by now, but the situation has not changed. Is there a chance this

which only said quitet. This time I've done it right I think. Still no

David, glad it worked for you! I tried the same (despite knowing better
- i've tried modprobing several times), and tpconfig also finds the
touchpad without problems, but modprobing doesn't change anything. Also
no touchpad in .../devices. Well, yours has worked once with Gutsy (I
assume) - mine ha
You beat me to the punch, I was about to report the same unintuitive
behavior. Holding down the arrow-key shouldn't result in buffering the
'keystrokes', but instead FireFox should use the keys like a switch:
scroll when pressed, stop when released.

I just retested it in my Hardy beta system. Dragging a file into
Nautilus in list view is perfectly possible. The file is inserted among
the other files just fine (even if the window is completely filled with
files (scroll bars appear)). Perfran is right that in list view there is
no right-click -
Ah, finally I get what you are saying (pardon me being slow ;-)). Yes,
that is not possible now. I've grown a habit of working around this
behaviour but it sure is annoying and unintuitive.

I did a test using the fglrx driver. This time the TV resolution didn't

Just to chime in: I had exactly the same behaviour yesterday. Small
(fallback) resolution - system menu shows, but the mouseclicks are
stolen by the application icons that have disappeared behind the menu.
