I am having trouble trying to upgrade my system, it may be related to
this I don't know. Effectively I get regular crashes with firefox but
generally don't have to reboot the system. I was trying to report the
update/upgrade difficulty.

I am not sure this should be debated here, but I totally agree with Ken,
I see fix released but have been unable find it anywhere.
Personally my system seems to be OK but until I am satisfied 340 is the
end of the story I still follow this bug.

for the first time the proposed solutions did not come back with file
not found etc:
It seems to be a clean installation.

Hi guys, I am sending this because I have just installed a new kernal
and the problem continues. I do not think it is having any impact on my
ststem other than nuisance but I cannot be sure. I am following the bug
reports and you guys need to know that for people without to much

I hope this will help, firstly you should know that I have upgraded to
11.10 and the problems with evolution have not totally gone because I
get error messages but these messages do not appear to have any impact
on the efficiency of the application.

Fabio, finally got there by deleting all files :
.index, .cmeta plus an empty evolution folder?
The back up command from file gave an error message. It now works.

Thanks for looking at this here is a better explanation.
In options i have set delete on exit from wastebasket does not work. right
click on waste basket gives error while expunging evolution trash. lf i try to
delete a single file the curser goes to the next file. In the previous version
on 10.
We are down to the nitty gritty, when I try to use the left or right I
get the error. It does not work for me! What can I do to help?

Before upgrade, the symbol in evolution in deleted messages was blanked
out or not active, this is no longer the case but it does not work. All
of the work around cntl e for example give an error as does empty
wastebasket in file . I have not t

Evolution cannot empty wastebasket ubuntu 11.04, the evolution
wastebaset sign appears as normal but just goes to next message at the
bottom of the page, Alt e gives an error code. In 10.04 I used to
delete files to reset the index but this no longer works as I aam unable

Evolution will put junk into the wastebasket using the option of auto
delete, but this justs increases the number of messages to be
eliminated. Is there a work around ,I currently have 1200 approx,
This slowing down the application and reminds me of windows.
