This is not the only strange bahviour. The configuration of the input
devices under Gnome is completely broken (eg: not all the keyboard
keystrokes works and the natural scrolling option for the touchpad does
not work).

Unfortunately this is not exactly a bug, it's a limitation of the Chrome
browser.
If you want to use the screen sharing functionality of Chrome you need two
things:
- you need the pipewire package, and you should have already have it
with hirsute
