Andreas,
I just installed the .deb package on my Kubuntu 3.5.10. It doesn't
clutter the taskbar as much, but I do still see closed applications
linger on the Compiz taskbar. Contrary to earlier, they do disappear,
but it takes a minute or so. Right now I'm looking at Thunderbird and

I think the problem is strongly related to whether kicker autohides or
not. I've just disabled autohide and until now, it works just like it
should work. As soon as I enable autohide again, taskbar-compiz doesn't
clean up all the old windows.

kicker crashes after upgrading to KDE 3.5.10

Hi,
I doesn't matter if I change viewports or not. They don't disappear.
Also, I've tried to change some settings in ktaskbarrc but it doesn't
change a lot (also, there aren't that much settings that can be changed.
See my ktaskbarrc below:

Yeah, it's still in 3.5.10. In fact, I mistakenly thought it to be
related to the kicker-taskbar-compiz, because I do use compiz. see link:

compiz/+bug/261694
But it isn't. I have done some layman research and these are my
conclusions:
1.
I found another bug (239645) which I think reflects the problems a
little better. Thanks for helping out, though!

Well, since the first poster doesn't use compiz, it cannot be a compiz
bug. The bug seems to be caused by a recent update of the nvidia
proprietary driver in combination with compositing on X (not necessarily
with compiz).

I think I solved it. AdamK from forum.compiz-fusion.org suggested to add
the line
Option "UseCompositeWrapper" "true"
to the Device section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Haven't seen the problem
occurring once since then.

Possibly solved by this hint by AdamK, though this solution is known to

Marco,
This was indeed the same bug. After I removed the offending keys (by

I followed the instructions on Gutsy RC1 upgrade instruction page (for
Kubuntu RC1). After I opened adept manager, I chose File > Manage
