(mint or ppa) that have difference and are not supported.
In this case you must purge cinnamon and all its components before install the

I take a fast look to packages difference between precise and trusty and
I think most likely the fix is included in freerdp
1.0.1-1ubuntu2.2<->1.0.2-2ubuntu1, it is a bugfix release and precise is
a LTS still supported, then a precise-backports of trusty's freerdp and
remmina probably can be good.
To boot pv domUs with newer grub pvgrub2 is needed, I'm using for a few months
a custom build from source, Trusty have it in official repository:

Even if I not tested official debian/ubuntu now and from a quick look I do not
saw where is the file to pas
These are details for build custom pvgrub2 image I did:

ipv6 support was added but like other things probably some parts are not
available on all systems
from a fast look to code I don't understand if there is a bug/unexpected case
related to this, probably is better report

also other minor versions and there was a backport also to another LTS (Xenial)
with 1.4.11-1.1ubuntu3~0.16.04, I saw no bugs reported related to it but this

have additional changes so before enable by default upstream more testing is
needed, also a stable proposed update for ubuntu 20.04 is excluded
