Reporting this occur also in Windows 2000 after DX9.0c install.
After six restarts with windowsupdate.microsoft.com, I finally installed
DirectX 9.0c, which created this same behavior also appear on Win2000.

What does DX9.0c install as HDD driver, that breaks BIOS to Kernel

reporting solution for me:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/selinux.prerm assumes it can run /etc/init.d/selinux,
which might not exist.
I created /etc/init.d/selinux with content:
!/bin/sh
exit 0
After this I could remove package selinux.
--
selinux can't be reconfigured
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/207
If /etc/libvirt/network/default.xml exists, in update progress, this
file doesn't get patched via normal dpkg post-inst scripts.

Manually all I had to do to fix it:
> /etc/init.f/stop
> ifconfig vnet0 down
> brctl delif virbr0
> /etc/init.d/libvirt-bin start
results in changed /etc/libvirt/n

Karmic Koala Alpha 3: et131x module is fixed.
Only 1 interrupt per second by et131x_error_timer_handler.
Added it via module-assistant.
I had problems previously with Ubuntu 7.10 onwards. Tested unsuccesfully
et131x-open, et131x.sf.net source, manual timer tuning as instructed

laptop mode with battery, success.
I can't confirm suspending since my /home is mounted on SD-card and
tifm_sd doesn't work yet with suspend. Going to google that up next.

T2500 is also older Core Duo (coreduo) processor.
Reproduced from command line: succesfully installed & running winxp sp3
with "kvm -cpu coreduo,-nx".
How do I define "no NX" this in /etc/libvirt/qemu/winxp.xml
configuration file?
-> won't work, nx feature is not disabled.
