I try to install MT7630E-master drivers from jahidulhamid on Kubuntu
v.14.04 (64-bit) but it doesnt work. When I start "install.sh" in
terminal the result is following (i copy code from terminal):
make -C /lib/modules/3.13.0-24-generic/build
M=/home/erik/Downloads/MT7630E-master/rt
I solved my problem after I had updated my Kubuntu. but wifi still
doesnt work after installing the driver :(

Comment #48 seems to have remedied the problem for me. It's a bit of a

up the login screen.

It seems to be a known issue.
vmware workstation 9 (latest version) is not working with any of the kernel

They have to fix that, not a Ubuntu problem :(
All of us who upgraded to 12.10 though are screwed.

I tried three upstream kernels including 3.6.2-030602-generic and it does not
fix the issue.
And yes it primarily is a quantal issue, as quantal has 3.5+ kernel by default.
Unfortunately cannot go to older kernels, as they have a suspend problem with
this brand new machine :(

Ok so I tried this with the 3.2, does not work anymore either, constant crashes.
The only that changed was upgrading the distribution from precise to quantal,
since then the problems exist.
So it is not a kernel issue per se, but a drm mod problem.
Unfortunately I am not sure how to easily downgra
