On my computers software update ignore locks in synaptic and dpkg too.
It would be better to fix software update or to remove the dysfunctional
function in both programs.
If a user set a lock for reason, the system should not override it.

Checking, YES this option was switched on. Switching it off restores the
normal behaviour.

Lots of problems here, okay i found a radeon-kms blocker and have
deleted it now.
Now there is no error box but something crash and the wallpaper with
icons stays in hourglass forever.

Got a bunch of updates last hours, now the starter panel comes up
visible but most of the icons crahshed unexpected and must be restarted
by dialog piece by piece. Scrolling in applications is very laggy,
writiung text in firefox too. Every typed char appears seconds later.

With updates from 7.1.2010 i got the empty desktop back on my system.
After login there is only the wallpaper and a movable hourglass. The
classic desktop is working for me. Login at console was denied for root
and user accounts, counts root and user together up to 5 tries.

Affects me while playing anything, it is not possible to play some
sounds over an hour. Pulse sudden crash away and has to be restartet.
Only these lines appear in messages before it happes. Thats somewhat

No A2DP streaming to ECC speak
After 3 hours of work to get an bartpe bootable windows for the bios
updater Lenovo check up the battery before a bios update can be
done, so i have to buy an original battery for 150 bucks first to
perform such an update. With newer bios releases the laptop will also
check for 3rd party batter
Reverted the machine to Ubuntu Mate 15.04 without compiz, now the bug is
gone. So it seems to depend on a running compiz above ubuntu 14.04 to
mess up the graphics.

Nearly invisible action buttons on top panel
Had used Here and Google Maps to check this, but this problem was fixed
by the r22 upgrade release this week. The phone grab the right position
without GPS now.
So this bug can be closed as solved if no one else will respond to it.

To reproduce: Click on a action plugin from the unity panel upper right,
does not matter if this is the logout, volume, wifi or calendar symbol.
The screen clears up, the panel stuck for 5 seconds and a ubuntu crash

have doubled the APN entry for t-mobile and have to change between the
two when leaving the house. Otherwise none of the web services is

There are missing icons in the app selector and the unity panel is
unable to display them too.
To reproduce: Take a look at the app selector screen, start a missing
icon app and pin it in the launcher. Now the the missing icon from the

Thanks, yes the swap environment was messed up, now 15.04 boots up in 15
seconds. Incredible that 14.04 and 15.10 has ignored this old settings,
the /sda5 was removed in february.

Since upgrade to 13.10, there are no menus in the bluetooth and volume
symbol. When clicked, only a light box appears, it is not possible to
change conditions. The faults appear in the systray-4 and libindicator-5
fields.

Hello,
had te same bug and the exec bugfix works fine for the sound applet. But
have the same error with the bluetooth applet, what kind of bugfix is
needed there?
See attachment, same problem. Cannot switch or use bluetooth from the
missing menu.

#69 works for me, but blueman was installed so #76 did not work for me.
Reinstall of blueman also did not help, no menu available.

To manage notif
Have rollbacked 3 computers to mint 15 (ubuntu 13.04) and get rid of
this bug, it's a 13.10 feature. So my suggestion is a rollback of the
affected packages to the 13.04 state. What has happened to the ubuntu
quality, are we back into the "never change a running system" timeline?
