I cannot rotate my 1400x1050 display. The graphical tool does not give
me another option than "upside down", the command "xrandr -o left"
rotates the display, but the result is garbled and slow. (see

Adding a subsection "screen" with "virtual 1400 1400" helps against the
garbling, but the display remains unbearable slow. OpenOffice.org's
splash-screen takes more than a second to draw.

I got this error on Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-13-generic. The computer
had worked flawlessly with everything from gutsy through Jaunty before.
Not all of a sudden it does not find any wireless network.
dmesg messages are:

This is still present in Jaunty. Very annoying.

nautilus process. This affects directories like /usr/lib or /usr/share/

and then open /usr/lib
After one minute and 100% CPU activity I killed nautilus with xkill. The

completely broken. I have no adress bar, no search bar. The back and
forward buttons are greyed out, shortcut keys don't work anymore.

RGB and BGR are ok, only VRGB and VBGR give the error. This is

The update notifier never shows up in the panel. The process is running,
killing and restarting doesn't help. When it should appear, there is a
short, few pixel wide flashing but nothing happens.

Well, yes, but these notifications never show up either. I am running
Jaunty and there are updates every day, but I never get any
notifications.

are broken, with RBG and BGR are ok.

packages for Ubuntu in Launchpad. Now they are wondering what is
necessary to get language packs in that language for Ubuntu.
Is there any chance of this happening in Intrepid, or what has to be

Sure there's nothing wrong with collaboration, but it should not be a
requirement to translate this upstream. The default browser of Kubuntu
must be translatable through Launchpad.
