I have the exact same problem. I have had to restart my browser a couple
of times, this has led to the fact that it now says:
vlc: Playing some media
vlc: Playing some media
vlc: Playing some media
I assume if I keep launching vlc inside the browser and shutting it down
more will come.

Trying to connect to Google Calendar with CalDAV does not work either.
Using Wireshark I found the following:

With Evolution 2.24.3 in intripid (on an intel 64bit machine) I can
easily add the google calendars (I have my own and some shared, which I
have write access to). The event in the calendars show up nicely. But
the following things I have been unable to achieve:

Well, selecting the "generic" kernel when booting up makes it possible
to load the "snd-hda-intel" module - and the music plays again!

I had this problem too, but it only occurred the second time I tried.
Here is what happened:
1) I tried to upgrade to GutsyBeta
2) It told me that some sources would be disabled (I said OK)
3) All seamed fine, it should fetch 1323 upgrades, but during this process my
network died thus effectively
I can confirm that the bug is still present in Gutsy, as it was in
Feisty. I also cannot fix it with the original posters fix-suggestion
using xsetpointer and xmodmap

I found a fix (well a work-around). Install wacom-tools, then run the
following:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] xsetwacom get cursor RelWDn

Here is the the real problem, change them with the following two
commands:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] xsetwacom set cur
That did not work, the xorg.conf file ignored my RelW[Up/Dn] options.

trying to insmod "snd-hda-intel.ko":

Maybe a problem between the kernel in "2.6.22-12-386", and the modules

We get it on all our 64bit machines using PHPUnit. We have about 500
test-cases, spread over 80 files. It seems to only happen after the
actual PHP-script has completed execution and with Jaunty we had about
3-4 segfaults on the 80 files, with Karmic it is down to 1-2 every time
we run the 80 test-
