So after a quick run through the code we find that that the changing of
the variable sb->sb_valid (which is what the assert is checking) only
happens in one place in sockbuf.c in ber_int_sb_init() and never gets
changed again. Therefore we are probably looking at some sort of memory

I'm thinking that there is quite a desire to have this also fixed in
Dapper LTS. I know this affects things greatly in those who are still
running dapper.

Also having this issue, after about 4 days of uptime the network adapter

I also have this issue and can't go more than about 8 hours without this
breaking. This was not an issue in 20.04.
Currently attempting the NFSv3 workaround
