This bug was connected to the Moodle package which I don't use anymore.

I think this is the same issue I'm experiencing. It's not just MacBook
and not just after an obvious triggering event. It pops up when I'm on
a/c as well as on battery. It usually appears when I first move the
mouse after a few minutes of reading. And I do not have display dimming
enabled on ei

enabled) and the meter keeps popping up but the meter progress bar is
blank - as if the display were 100% dimmed. So I tested the brightness
with the keyboard controls and it turns the display is in fact fully

I also can confirm it still doesn't work. In fact prior to today's
gutsy update I was able to connect to my wireless network (WEP) although
it was way slow. But now I cannot connect wireless at all (Intel 3945).
Tried several workarounds and reboots and the result is always the same.

Yes. I was getting the daily emails from Anacron about the dangling
symlink. I manually cleaned it up on 8/1/2007. The Anacron emails
stopped. But then they returned afresh on 8/7/2007.
