Having just changed my router/access point, oddly it's now showing both
the signal strength and the ssid in the bubble. Unless something changed
in the kernel, perhaps it was the router that was at fault? Making as
invalid as I guess this bug can be ignored!

The NetworkManager applet 0.7.0 currently in Intrepid dev does not show
the wireless network you're connected to, nor its strength. It works
happily though, connecting to the preconfigured auto network and even
pops up the bubble saying you're now connected to network x!

(or should that be fudges) it for me.

A firmware update has been released for the Vertex 3 which, so far, appears to
fix the issue for me.

It always worked fine under the System Rescue CD distro,
I had this issue with Maverick too, however the all_generic_ide option
fixed it. Doesn't appear to have any effect with Natty though,
unfortunately.

Chris- it only appears to affect 2.6.32-33, I guess that's either what
the patch is for or included with?
