Well on the desktop, no I couldn't find a place where icon is large
enough to notice this.
But I'm doing a poster about ubuntu and after it was printed in high
resolution you can notice it easily.
I do understand that it is a minor issue for the users, but it does
affect people doing derivative w

I've used SuperDrive before and other similar tools.
We actually do have dd & tar which do the job =) it's not all-so pretty
and you do need to use command line. Personally I think it's out of
scope for usb-creator and plans made for maverick at UDS take a

I have tried this both on my laptop and in qemu.
I have both Ubuntu 10.04 Live CD & USB Starupdisk plugged in. When
explicitly booting into stick, CD is still used. Yanking the cd out
results in random crashes and live session become unstable
usb-creator-kde vs usb-creator-gtk
don't make a difference both of them use exactly the same backend udisk
backend.
There is a package around which fixes the boot error at least for me.

I'm part of Ubuntu Reviewers team. Your patch is good to brute-force
revert the change but what about people who want both options and switch
between the two behavior? As discussed in this long bug report it's not
possible yet due to many issues raised and the patch doesn't bring
configurable behav
Noting the ongoing discussion about the "Right name to choose" (bike
shed color discussion really) as well as String freeze in Gnome &
Lucid. I'm unsubscribing Ubuntu Reviewers for now.
I'm subscribing myself to keep an eye on it.

I'm using karmic libvirt and if I use virtual drive the lucid daily live
installs fine but at reboot I get input/output errors on the virtual
drive.
If I emulate the hard-disk as sda drive no input/output errors are
present.
