Alfa USB wireless adaptor with rtl8187 is not automatically recognized
by Intrepid and after finding it, it will not report or connect to any
APs. Network Manager displays Wireless Networks - device is unmanaged.

Interesting. In may case, I don't have Tracker installed and don't have
the libnautilus-tracker-tags.so file. There's nothing to re-name!
