I ran into this exact same problem under Artful after updating to Linux
kernel 4.13.0-38-generic. Can anyone confirm that the fix will be
backported to Artful in an upcoming kernel update?

This problem still occurs in 17.10. I just ripped a kids music disc via
Rhythmbox using MP3 default settings (=VBR/medium). Files are perceived
(by RB and nautilus) as 32Kbps:

I also encountered this bug. It affects any program that passes
attachments to Thunderbird (I hit it while using DarkTable 1.1 under
Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal). See attached patch for a simple fix.
Note that there is a newer version of xdg-utils included in Debian, but
it contains other bugs

I also experience this bug. I can temporarily add and edit
configurations in Ubuntu Online Accounts (a.k.a. credentials-
preferences) again by killing all empathy and telepathy processes, then
loading the panel, but this behaviour recurs shortly after restarting

I experience this bug under Wayland in Pop!_OS 21.04, which uses a
custom fork of Dash to Dock (Cosmic Dock).[*]
I found a clunky workaround:
* Select File -> Send Later (ctl-shift-enter): message is saved to Outbox.
* Select File -> Send Unsent Messages.
This method does not create a "ghost win
