Whoops! Forgot to mention Sebastien's hint at a fix, will it work for
you until notify-osd is fixed?
"/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service on how
it's started"
Seems like:
1) Install notification-daemon.
2) Open /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.
Better yet, in your case, just change the whole Exec=/bin/sh... line to:
Exec=/usr/lib/notification-daemon/notification-daemon
[Brain fart!]

I get this message in email nightly:
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
/usr/bin/mysqladmin: refresh failed; error: 'Lost connection to MySQL server
during query'
error: error running shared postrotate script for /var/log/mysql.log

I, too, am experiencing this problem since fiesty upgrade and also on
Mint 3 beta012 (based on feisty). The Fedora Core 6 live cd sees it 'out
of the box'. Recomplie with the ITE modules urgently requested!
