i have the same problem. the only problem with it is, i want to be able
to use the visual effects. i know, i'll just have to live without them.
but here's the strange thing:
I was using visual effects (in 7.10), and they worked just fine. I must
have done something to mess them up. The only thing

are on. if they're off, i don't have the problem. I changed something,
and the problem started happening, but I changed it back, and it still
