Installing 9.10 on an Acer desktop. At first couldn't get through installation
because mouse/keyboard frozen. Managed to get those working by using "acpi off"
and "no apic". Completed installation Ok but on restart mouse and keyboard
frozen again. Keyboard shows number lock

I was given a new ipod 8gb 6th. gen which I tried to use with Rhythmbox - it
recognised the ipod and seemed to be transferring podcasts but they didn't
appear on the ipod when disconnected. I subsequently tried Banshee and GTKpod.
