Hi
I got a notification to update my kernel to 5.8.0-55 and when I update and
reboot my PC. The desktop does not start and when I downgrade my kernel
5.8.0-53. Again, it does not work either. Finally, I have to reimage my PC from
the scratch and I lose all of my local data
Hi,
I solved it by reimaged with xubuntu 20.04 kernel 5.8.043 and it works better
than 5.8.053 and 5.8.055. So, I wish to keep this kernel on the GRUB for
longer-term or I want to keep more than 2 available kernels on the GRUB
bootloader. IS it possible?

Before I reimaged it I think the driver version is 460. But, I didn't
check it thoroughly before the problem shows up because I need to take
an action immediately to make my PC usable again. By the way, I connect
my PC with two monitors via HDMI and Thunderbolt 3. I hope you can solve
it soon

my problem is same with Bas which is after I updated to that kernel. I
cannot go to the desktop and I have to reimage my PC and downgrade my
kernel for this. Do you mean you update that driver via recovery mode on
the GRUB bootloader?

Kernel oops with the 460.80 and 465.2

I just want to follow-up my discussion with Bernard Stafford
