I can't reproduce that here, with libido-0.1.4.0ubuntu1 and indicator-
me-0.2.5-0ubuntu1.
The have been some changes to the way the entry process keys, but
nothing particular to the home or end keys. The change was about ESC
closing the menu properly.

I find it very improbable that this be an indicator-me issue: the
service replaces that string with what it gets from the system. Unless
you can reproduce it, I'll mark the bug invalid. Feel free to re-open if

problem you're describing:
The root user *can* switch to another user session: can you confirm you were
able to use the session normally?
Then, has the user session was already opened, the system refused to
shutdown th

menu, but that only the action is not performed? In this case, you could
use the test that Human just
Looking at #448138, it seems other programs have issues running in this
session (mentions of display and XID errors): can you try to described a
way to reproduce the error in another user session? is it particular to
your personal user session? ie does the bug occur when running in a
guest session

either the crash or a reproducible way of triggering the crash.

xsplash is a minor part of the slowdown you have observed. We'll try to
make it even more efficient in Lucid. However there will always be a
trade off between booting as fast as possible and displaying "something
nice" during the boot process.

an informed choice and provide the behavior you would expect, either at
xsplash level, or gdm.
