After to days update The new kernal is at the top of list when you boot.
It is defaulting to previous kernel. I can manually choose and boot the
right kernel.

Thetre is not any information un file /var/lib/apt/lists/lock. Got
nothing from comand line or from the file either.This happened some
time ago, I do think for some reason it was hanging in auto update. Whn
I tired to run update there was two instances opensd. Turned off
automatic update and rebo

I found an xorg video driver that was installed that was not needed.

I was having no problems at all in opened lucid desktop. The only update
that I did was a grub. When I shut down and re booted it got to loading
desktop and stopped with a message saying there is a problem with home
folder. Tried to use rescue mode

I did sudo system-config-printer in terminal and can now connect to
server. My printer is a usb and its stll not recognised on the server.
Could this be a usb problem? Should this be a different bug ?

I have done a complete reinstall of karmic and am no longer having this
problem.. Thanks

package launchpad-integration 0.1.24 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new
pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
this affects me also. But on auto log in it should not show up when
booting. It never did before any way.It is also extremely hard to read.
Its way too dark.

Any thing I try to update fails with error 1.update manager not working
at all.Im filling this from 9.04 but the problem is with karmic. Cant
access any of the bug reporting tools or launchpad. Update manager will
not start at all. S
