So I did some more searching on this including running an tcpdump in my
environment, and it appears as if idmapd is not making any requests for
me. Hence the reason we aren't hitting the deadlock. Did you do
anything specific in the area of getting idmapd up and configured?

Yep, I just tested it should depend on both phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer
with kde-runtime-data.
It didn't occur to me that the sounds might not exist. in #7. Anyhow,
I'll package up the change to depends unless caribou or ddstreet want to

actual device is a initramfs issue. Basically df will report whatever
is in /proc/self/mountinfo, and this appears to be an issue with how
fstab is processed. I still have to fully root cause that.

tool/scripts/functions and to local fixes the uuid mount that I was
seeing on my trusty machine. I will have to do additional work to get

bug 1365261.
However, the resolution for the /tmp/ errors and the resolution for
/var/lib/charm/ceph errors may be different, so I'll leave this one
open.

Is there any way to get rid of the messages? Perhaps we should patch
qemu to not attempt to access /tmp or /var/tmp?
Basically these messages are now filling up logs on openstack compute
nodes.

I accidentally opened a similar but slightly different bug to this one at

As far as I can tell the offending commit was introduced with
samba-4.1.0rc1, and the fix is contained in 4.1.7. So Utopic is fine.
I also checked precise, and precise does not contain the commit that
caused the regression.
