I can second this bug. It occurred after an update in the stable branch
of Feisty on the 3rd June 2007. Furthermore, using the users and group
applet shows no users in the list, adding one causes the users and
groups application to bomb out.

I've been experiencing this as well, but only on certain systems. I
can't figure out for the life of me what is causing it but I suspect an
array somewhere is overfilling and causing a buffer overflow. I'm on it
