The same problem exists in xubuntu 13-10.
How to replicate error:
1. Use unetbootin to unpack debian-7.4.0-amd64-xfce-CD-1.iso to usb stick
2. Unpack xubuntu-13.10-desktop-i386.iso with unebootin to the same usb stick
3. You will get an error "trying to overwrite
'etc/console-setup/compose.ISO-8
No crash
