I am not sure why you are doubting that I run Ubuntu MATE but ok:
1. I have been running Ubuntu MATE since a few years now (Since 2015);
2. This system that is exhibiting this error has been updated from 20.04 UP to
20.10 and then again UP to 21.04;
3. I have been having this focus issue on this
I wanted to give an update to this as I am installing 21.04 and those
changes have somewhat been taken into consideration:
1. Thanks a lot for those;
2. During initial setup, city is listed as "Mont-real" while it should be
"Montréal" (Very minor cosmetic flaw);
3. When selecting "Mont-real" the

HDMI, if I unplug the HDMI one while the system is running, displays
will fallback to 1 screen and that is good.
But while this system is still running, if/when I replug that same 2nd
screen that I took out
Another point to mention is when I have the view of what is under
picture #2 is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to select any objects in the right
window (of messed up icons) and that I am required to click on anywhere
else in the left panel before clicking back on ~/Pictures for it finally
display proper AN
(Also maybe this happens more often when there are multiple caja
instances opened up)

Using 21.10-latest and using a Marshall Woburn II Bluetooth speaker,
when putting the speaker into discovery mode, both hcitool & Bluetooth
Devices(Bluetooth Manager) find it yet system always ends up with

I have just upgraded to 22.04 and am still having this problem.
However instead of 3 objects failing I only have 1.
Also I am not sure if I can give you very much details because there
doesn't seem to be much of relevance under ~/.xsession-errors but I
think only the last line is related:

PS: by "upgrading to 22.04" I mean that I did not changed my appearances
before upgrading and when I now look under appearances it says that I am
running "custom" (See enclosed photo).
But does it highlights "custom" because by default when one opens this
option it auto-selects the first entry or
