These icons were intentionally removed from the ubuntu mono set. They
don't appear in Unity and including them causes problems with other
applications because of improper naming.

The icon set shouldn't contain any of those items. It's my understanding
that some people have those icons as a remnant of an upgrade. The main
problem is that those icons are only supplied in panel sizes and any
application attempting to use them anywhere else in the interface ends
up with stretch

Vish, I'd have to agree that consistency is important. If the arrows are
going to change, they need to *all* be changed.
I think there should be a revert until we decide what's going to happen.
We need to consider the negative impacts of such a change. Will these
rounded arrows be as recognizable

I currently don't have a LXDE installation, so I can't really test. But
do these applications support a monochrome tray icon? You'll notice that
the monochrome icons in Ubuntu usually have "-panel" appended to the
icon name. And if they don't, its because that icon only appears in the
Public bug reported:

Andrew, some of these icons might not be present in most themes. I would
suggest trying to find the proper names to use for these icons and
supplying them with your package. They should be placed in
/usr/share/icons/hicolor in the appropriate folders.
I will try to find the correct names for these
