I had 2 instances of firefox running, both with multiple tabs. When
tried to close one of them the window warning me that I'm having
multiple tabs open popped up but didn't displayed anything. After that
I pressed Alt+F4 and then it crashed.

Just encountered the same crash after doing an update to apt, aptitude
and synaptic. The new version of apt that was installed is
0.6.46.4ubuntu8

Issue: Gnome's "Places" menu stays visible after right-clicking on the
desktop.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on the Places menu;
2. Right-click somewhere on the desktop;

My wired network card stops working from time to time. Bringing the
interface down then up again doesn't solve the problem. Rebooting the
laptop does solve the problem sometimes. This is really random, and I
don't know yet how to reproduce it.
